Like many (dare I say most?) book lovers, I have a habit of acquiring books, usually faster than I can read them. Whether they’re e-galleys, e-books, shiny new hardcovers, or gently used bargains, I love books. I can’t stop myself from getting more, even when my reading schedule is already tight. I’ve decided to do a weekly post, titled “New on My Shelf,” in which I will list the books I’ve gotten during the week. I love hearing about new books other people get, too, so post a comment with your new acquisitions!
Published earlier this week, The Light of Paris is about a woman and her grandmother, set partially in Jazz Age Paris. I’m super excited to read this one!
Found a great sale on this thriller about a plane crash! I wasn’t sure at first if I wanted to read it, but when I saw the one day sale, I knew I had to have it!
David Estes is an indie author I’ve really enjoyed. This is his newish standalone sci-fi retelling of Pinocchio. I’m looking forward to reading it!
I’ve wanted to read this YA Fantasy/Dystopian for a while and it finally went on sale!
I found this highly-rated thriller on sale thanks to my group on Goodreads!
This book was not on sale in the slightest and is the most I’ve ever paid for an e-book. That said, it looks really interesting and the author is from Jamaica, so it fulfills one of my challenge requirements for the year.
A few months ago, I signed up for a Book of the Month membership. This was my pick for this month. It’s a sci-fi thriller unlike anything else I’m reading right now!
I love this author and have been dying to read this book about the Lusitania since before it was even published.
I’ve been hearing a lot about this book and can’t wait to read it!
What new books have you gotten this week? Tell me all about them!
